[100612] KBS2 entertainment show ‘Dream Team 2′ to be aired in Taiwan !!

According to the KBS media report, ‘Dream Team 2’ has recently been exported to Taiwan Star TV. Till today, Korea has mostly been exporting dramas and movies. Looking from the point of view that entertainments shows have never been exported, the decision has received encouragement and praise.

Due to the presence of different languages and cultural views, the use of subtitles or voice-overs may not be able to convey the humour (in the show), hence making it a problem when the show is exported. Although ‘Dream Team 2’ is in another language, it is based on the fact that everyone can see the competitor’s spirit, and hence is able to gain the support of many from overseas.

A special mention must also be given to the members of the nation’s most popular groups ‘SHINee, 2PM and Super Junior’ for their enthusiastic looks, which is the source of high viewership rates overseas.

‘Dream Team 2’ is currently facing export problems in Thailand and Japan, (however) it is believed that there would be good news very soon.

[100612] First Kpop Music and Culture Event in Philippines !!

In celebration of Filipinos’ fandom to Korean music, fashion and culture, Jjang Events, in partnership with Megatrade Hall, invites you to the first Kpop Music and Culture Event of the year happening on August 8, 2010 at the Megatrade Hall, Building A, SM Mega Mall.

The event will open its gates to everyone at 10 AM and will last untill 9PM. This event will have exciting and unique activities that will spark the interest of enthusiasts and will also host competitions that will motivate and inspire aspiring talents to take the chance and show what they’ve got.

One of the event’s highlights is the Individual Cosplay Competition. This is open to all participants who want to cosplay their Kpop Artist, Idol, Korean Drama Actors, or Manhwa Characters. There will be Sing and Dance Competition. This is open to all talented Filipinos who can sing or dance like their Kpop Idol.

Fan Clubs Fan Chant Battle. KPOP and Culture Fest wants to introduce a feature never done before in any KPOP event. This will allow passionate fans from Fan Clubs of different Kpop Groups to be more vocal with their support for their idol(s) by creating unique cheers and chants!

The event will also features activities that are related to Korean Culture. There will be Kimchi Making Contest, Korean Speech Contest, Ramyeon Eating Contest, KPOP Quiz, Korean Culture Exhibit and a lot more!

Super Junior’s Message to Taeguk Warriors

Idol group Super Junior who recently released their new song “Miinah” and are showing their continuing popularity sent a cheer message to the national team of the World Cup.

Super Junior who has conquered various music charts and music program with their 4th album title song “Miinah” is enjoying their success with the A version of their 4th album which was released on the 13th and B version of the album whice was released on the 20th ranking number 1 and 2 in May album sales.

However, with good comes bad as sad news struck them. Member Kyuhyun has stopped his activity temporarily due to a surgery on the inflammation of the middle ear. The fans have expressed their concern for him by changing “Miinah”s lyrics to “Kyuhyunah.”

Although Kyuhyun has been excluded, the voice that cheer the group on has not gotten smaller. 9 Super Junior members that includes Leeteuk, Heechul, Siwon, Donghae, Shindong, Yesung, Ryeowook, Eunhyuk and Sungmin started their cheer message with their trademark greeting, “we are Super Junior~.”

Super Junior’s leader Leeteuk said, “2010 World Cup in South Africa is starting soon. The first game is coming up soon and we hope the Taeguk Warriors show us a great game without injury.” He also said, “many people want an encore of the legend in 2002 World Cup. However, this is not 2002. We hope they write a new history for 2010.”
